What I Do With Good Ideas
One of the worst feelings is knowing you had a good idea but shit, you forgot what it was.
So whenever I have a good idea about anything - YouTube, jiu-jitsu, my business, I write it down immediately.
And this next part is important. I feel like a lot of people skip this part.
I do research on the idea. See if it’s been done. See what experts say.
Then if it makes sense, I’m in. I start making a plan and executing that plan.
I’m not very good with sitting on ideas. I want to do stuff right away. Coming up with ideas is easy. But in the execution and follow through, that’s where the magic happens.
Because at the end of the day, ideas aren’t worth anything if they’re just collecting dust in your head.
But working Suga, he’s teaching me more about patience. I’ve seen firsthand with these big contracts and big partnerships, they take time. Sometimes it takes 3 months for lawyers to do their thing to get the deal done.
Sometimes that stuff is totally out of your control, but that’s okay.
This next part is gonna be different for each person.
For me, if the idea is gonna be fun and it’s gonna be a good time for me and my friends, I’ll go ahead and do it.
On the flip side, if an idea takes time, it takes a lot of hard work, and it’s something I’m not excited about doing… I probably won’t do it. Even if it makes me money in the future.
So to sum this up, try to act fast on good ideas, and be patient with results.
But don’t let those good ideas rot away in your head.
UFC 283 Thoughts
First Pay-per-view of the year coming up this weekend, ladies and gentlemen.
And there are some fights I’m fucking excited about!
I’m excited for Gilbert Burns to be back. I think Gilbert has the talent to be a future champion one day.
And it’s probably Shogun Rua’s last fight. If guys don’t know Shogun, him and his twin brother were savages back in the day.
I recommend watching his early UFC fights and Pride fights, the guy was an absolute monster.
It’s also gonna be the first quadrilogy fight in UFC history between Moreno and Figueiredo. But to be honest, I’m not too interested in that fight. Still should be action packed though.
And finally for the main event, we get to see how good Jamahal Hill really is. We’ll see how he paces himself for 5 rounds against a veteran like Glover.
I think the chances of Jamahal hurting Glover is pretty high. And when that happens, he’s gotta stay composed instead of emptying out the gas tank.
Because Glover’s durable. Plus, you don’t want to be gassed against Glover.
So if Jamahal can stay sharp and piece up Glover, he’ll get the job done. If it turns into a gritty war, I think Glover has the advantage.

Top Items I Bought In 2022
1. Gaggia Classic Pro Expresso Machine
If you didn’t know, I love me a good latte.
And I’ve always wanted to learn how to make one. So I did a bunch of research and stumbled on the Gaggia on Reddit.
I remember seeing this same machine when I was in Tijuana with Sug. A coffee shop near the hospital had one Gaggia Classic Pro running their entire shop.
When I looked online it had a shit ton of good reviews, so I pulled the trigger.
100% worth every penny.
Mariah and I used to love visiting coffee shops to try out different lattes. Now, nothing beats our homemade lattes.
With raw milk and organic beans, this baby helps us make the perfect latte.
But this shit takes some learning and work. It’s not like a cheap Keurig machine where you can plop something in and press a button.
You gotta dial in the grinds. A good grinder is one of the most important parts of a good coffee.
You gotta have a scale for the right measurement.
Making a good coffee takes some skill and some work, but 100% worth it.
2. Stores and Bickel Volcano Vaporizer
If you watch the pod, you know the Volcano is always locked and loaded. And you just can’t beat it.
If you cook the weed at a low temperature, around 360-365, you get a nice clean high. Not a foggy high.
If you feel like getting couch-locked, cook the weed at a higher temperature, around 380.
But the rips are clean.
You don’t get hungover or super snacky from it.
It is a bit expensive. But it’s German-made medical equipment. So it’s gonna last a long time.
For athletes and marijuana lovers, I highly highly recommend it.
3. Bidet
I can’t believe I went my whole life without using a bidet.
You’re extra clean whenever you’re done.
You save on toilet paper.
You never clog the toilet.
I hate going to places that don’t have them now. And there’s a pretty good one on Amazon for $45.
It’ll change your shitter experience for life.
4. A Good Air Filter
One day when I was at the gym and noticed something weird with our vents.
The sun was shining through the windows, so I could see all the dust particles that were getting blown out of the vent.
Holy shit.
I couldn’t believe it. We were breathing this shit in the whole time.
Can’t be good if we’re training hard and huffing and puffing all day.
So I ordered a $500 air filter off Amazon to cover 2500 sq. ft. so we can have both clean air and water at our gym.
I recommend having a good air filter for your house too.
I read that the air outside is cleaner than inside of your house. That’s because you got all this carpet, paint, and toxins floating around.
5. A Muscle Scraper
My buddy Scott Holtzman who just retired from the UFC, told me about muscle scraping years ago.
He’s a guy that’s super into recovery and healthy living like I am. But I never invested in one until last year.
And holy shit I can feel the difference.
If you didn’t know, I tore both my biceps years ago. I think they might’ve fucked something up and put the tendon too far through the bone. So the flexibility in my biceps haven’t been that great.
But with the muscle scraper, I’ve been using it on my bicep scar tissue. It’s good for loosening up soft tissue and lining your muscles up. And I’ve already seen and felt the difference in training.
YouTube muscle scraping, these tools are only about $14 on Amazon. They’re super helpful for recovery.
Quick Hits From This Week

Focus on getting better a little bit each day. Don’t worry about what other people are doing or where they’re at.
The only person you’re in competition with is the person you were yesterday.
If you’re having trouble staying consistent, maybe shift your focus from your results to being better today.
Red Hawk Recap Ep. 72
On this episode, I was joined by my buddy Troy Casey, author of the book Ripped At 50. He’s a certified health nut, and he’s got some good stuff to share.
Incorporate a cold plunge in your daily routine.
Look, I know it sucks. Even I was being a puss about it. But I’ve been doing it first thing in the morning and the benefits are unreal. It’s worth the few minutes of distress. Studies have shown that cold plunging will help reduce inflammation, reduce muscle soreness, support weight loss, improve your mood, and help you get less sick. That’s worth a couple minutes of my time in the morning.
If you don’t have a cold plunge tub, just start the shower off cold for a minute or two, then rinse off in hot water. And if you can’t do a minute, work your way up. Start off with 10 seconds. Then 30. And eventually you’ll be doing a minute.Â
Collapsing the Wave
Really powerful concept from quantum mechanics. Troy expresses gratitude for all the bad shit he’s been through. He says when you bring light to the negativity, you neutralize it. This helps you stay out of the bullshit victim mentality. If you’ve had some bad luck and gone through bad shit, it sucks. I know. But it’s made you a better person.Â
Sexual Kung Fu
Troy practices semen retention and other tantric practices. There’s techniques to transfer that horned up energy to creative energy. I’m gonna look into it and if I find or experience something interesting, I’ll report back!
Anyone can change.
Everyone’s got the tools and courage to change themselves. Troy says if you’ve been in the darkness for a while, it’s time to go for greatness. If you faced enough pain, gotta look in the mirror. You have it in you to dig deep and change.Â
TimboSugarShow Ep. 221
Happiness is a skill
Studies show that 50% of happiness is genetics, kinda sucks. 10% is life circumstances. 40% of it is in our control. So if 40% of it is up to us, it means we can practice it and get better at it.
Becoming wealthy
Before reading Naval Ravikant’s book, I was just like everyone else. I thought the only way to make money is to trade my time for it. But Naval taught me how to create leverage and equity with my own businesses so I can get paid while I sleep. And it’s changed my life. I think The Almanack of Naval Ravikant is required reading for all young people.Â
What early habits did I have to kill that hindered my performance?
I used to scroll endlessly on my phone before bed like a brainless zombie. I’m glad I got rid of that habit. And we used to go in on junk food. I’m talking Pop Tarts, Ben & Jerry’s, everything you can imagine. I also used to skip stretching and would wake up sore as fuck the next morning. Getting in some movement before bed was a huge game changer for me.Â
Lucky charms are more healthy than steak
Government funded recommendation chart proves they suck at giving food advice. Lucky Charms healthier than steak? What the fuck is going on lol.Â
